Schmeh. Bought this at a yard sale and randomly grabbed it when I wanted to start something new. Ashamed to admit it was the Oprah’s Book Club seal that prompted me to spend the 50 cents on it. Anyway, a pretty bleak story with glimmers of hope that emerged too seldom. Some fairly decent character development, but overall, not uplifting not a terribly fascinating story.
